Summary
Beerus is enormously powerful and, as most cats are, lazy and playful with it. The cat in him shows in his love of long sleep and in the way he grooms himself. Waking from a deep slumber leaves him in a foul mood that softens the longer he is up. Like many cats he enjoys asserting dominance, and claims whatever he wants without much thought for how that lands on anyone else. He is a gourmet besides, and his planet is stocked with fish and other food. Fearsome god though he is, the feline gestures and the range of expression set him apart from the series' more malevolent antagonists. As God of Destruction he is thoroughly indifferent to death, and gives next to no thought to the billions or trillions of lives he has taken over the years in the role. The threat of destroying Earth comes out often, sometimes to get his way and sometimes as a plain warning to Whis and the Z Fighters.
