Summary
Android 18 is a character who first appears in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga, and later in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. In Future Trunks' timeline she is responsible for killing on a mass scale. A cybernetic human modified by Dr. Gero, she is often called a jinzōningen in the original Japanese, which translates literally as "artificial human." She is not wholly an android; she describes herself and her twin brother alike as having been "constructed from a human base."
