Witch on the Holy Night

Late in the 1980s, as the Showa era draws to a close, an old mansion in the town of Misaki is said to belong to a witch. Aoko Aozaki moves in and begins studying sorcery under Alice Kuonji, the young mage behind the rumour. The Aozaki family has long overseen the land Misaki stands on, and as heir, Aoko is bound to protect it. Lately something has been tearing at the town's bounded field, and the two set out to investigate. A puppet attacks them and is burned away — but in that moment they glimpse a figure fleeing: an ordinary passer-by who has seen magic at work, and who cannot be allowed to leave. Around the same time a boy named Soujuurou Shizuki is drawn to the mansion, and comes to live there alongside them.
